 Momentum Trader - Robert Pietropaolo

When it comes to opportunistic and directional trading, Roberto’s decision making process is largely based on momentum of price moves.

According to technical trader Roberto: “ Rather than trying pick tops and bottoms I try and wait for confirmation of completion of pattern formations rather than intra-day candles individually. My reasoning behind this, is that fundamentals (like world news) could move a particular stock dramatically in one day, giving you an individual candle which more than likely will correct in the following days when overreaction to news flows subsides. I therefore try to keep trading simple: Wait for the patterns to form and wait for trends to break, wait for confirmation, follow the momentum even if it costs a little more to enter the trade. At least you know that you are on the right side!”

Most of Robeto's Moementum trades are derived from his insightful Share Traffic Control report.
